Our Team

Dr. Mark Wahlmeier graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of General Science degree and completed his doctorate at the University of Missouri-St Louis College of Optometry.
 

Dr. Wahlmeier provides a variety of eye care services, including comprehensive routine exams for glasses and contacts, evaluations for diabetics and other medical conditions, and glaucoma testing and management. He practiced for 22 years in Colby, KS, and has spent the last 3 years practicing in Hays.
 

Dr. Wahlmeier has four children and five grandchildren and enjoys following them in all of their activities. On weekends, Dr. Mark loves supporting the FHSU Tigers and can be found cheering for the Chiefs and Royals as well. When he’s not doing that, he is spending time on the golf course or and with his family.

Kaley was born and raised in Hays, KS. She works as a tech at our office and enjoys learning new things about optometry and using all the pre-test machines we have at our office.

When she isn’t at the office, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, walking her dogs, relaxing with her cats, and watching TV with her boyfriend.

Morgan is originally from Hoxie, Kansas, and earned her Associate’s degree in Business Management from Fort Hays Tech North Central. She recently got married and now enjoys life in Hays with her husband and their puppy, Milo.
 

In her free time, Morgan loves spending time with family, being outdoors, and working on home projects. As an optician in our office, she is passionate about connecting with patients and helping them find eyewear that suits both their lifestyle and visual needs.

Samara was born and raised in Hays, Kansas, and is currently studying biology at Fort Hays State University with the goal of going to optometry school. She works as an optician in our office, but also helps out across the office whenever we need someone.

When she is not at the office, she is usually listening to music, watching new movies, getting matcha with friends, or spending time with her family.

Lily is currently a student at Fort Hays State University, majoring in Organizational Leadership. She works as a tech in the office but you can also find her in other areas helping out. Lily enjoys working with the patients and learning about the optometry world.
 

If Lily isn’t at the office, you can find her staying busy. She is usually hanging out with friends and family, teaching golf, or finding something to keep her entertained. Working at Vision Source has grown her appreciation for her eyes.

Kayla grew up here in Hays and works in our office as a tech and scribe. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fort Hays State University, and is currently working on her Master’s degree. When she’s not in the office, she also works part-time for the KAMS program at Fort Hays.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Carrie Myers was born and raised in Colby, Kansas, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fort Hays State University. She serves as Front Office Manager, where she is dedicated to creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient from the moment they arrive.
 

Carrie enjoys learning all aspects of the office and takes pride in helping ensure everything runs smoothly while building strong connections with patients.
 

Outside of the office, she enjoys long walks, traveling, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Amanda is an optician at our office and is passionate about the people she serves. Her favorite part of the job is working one-on-one with patients to find the right solution for their unique needs. She takes pride in navigating insurance plans so every patient can make the most of their benefits.

Outside of the office, Amanda treasures time with her family and stays active at the gym and outdoors. She especially values having time to chasing her grandkids around. She loves to travel, savor great food, and is a self proclaimed people watcher-which she’d say makes her prettygood at her job. You can usually win her over with coffee, chocolate covered almonds, or a good glass of wine.
 

She and Dr. Mark have been married for 29 years and love watching their family and the office grow.
